I capture fractions of everyday life in which tenderness prevails- a detail, a feeling, a fragment I can’t yet name. My eye is drawn in close: I crop, I zoom in and cut until only the essential remains. Mostly I feel I can’t get close enough. People do wonderful things when they think no one is looking. That is precisely when I pay the most attention.
Both of my books are included in the collection of the Rijksmuseum.
